At Whitehouse we pride ourselves in having the capability to undertake civil engineering schemes ranging from thousands to multi-million pound projects within a busy industrial environment such as confectionary giant Mondelez. We have benefitted from long term repeat business over many years as a direct result of us providing exemplary civil engineering services.
Works undertaken to date on this site include the conversion of an existing warehouse in order to incorporate the creation of the first Oreo biscuit line in England. The original building had to be significantly altered to ensure it conformed to current food hygiene standards.
Whitehouse were also engaged when the site suffered severe flooding; we led the clean up operation and consequent protection of vital infrastructure such as bridges, a number of outbuildings, river banks and a strategic substation.
Internal fit outs were also undertaken including the relocation of the soft mint curing room, which had to remain operational at all times during our works, adjustments to the superstructure and reconstruction of the ceiling.
Extensive external works have also been undertaken including the construction of three silo bases providing storage for raw ingredients prior to food production, car parking facilities, gabion basket river bank retaining walls, sump construction, drainage and concreting.
All works were delivered in the grounds of the existing live food production facility, to the complete satisfaction of the client.
