As part of our Flood Mitigation development and research, Whitehouse can now exclusively offer you our Kitemarked Flood Door System; the only product currently available in the UK market that surpasses the requirements of the Kitemark standard.
Whitehouse recognised some inherent problems with traditional Flood Board products which have dominated the market for a number of years. They are unsightly, cumbersome; need regular maintenance to work effectively and, most significantly, Flood Boards need to be deployed in times of storm to offer flood protection. Cognisant of this, we have developed a ‘fit and forget’ solution which, once installed by our highly trained installation teams, will continually protect properties from the effects of flooding.
The Whitehouse Flood Door is a ground-breaking, high performance Kitemarked flood protection solution; transforming the face of property level Flood Mitigation. Our product looks and locks like a traditional exterior door; available as a single or double door in a vast range of aesthetically enhancing designs and colours utilising UPVC and wood grain finishes.
The current Kitemark standard allows for a leakage of one litre per linear metre per hour of seal under water during a flooding event. The Whitehouse Flood Door not only meets but exceeds the Kitemark standard and offers unprecedented levels of property flood protection. In addition, our door also provides cutting edge levels of thermal and security performance in comparison to a traditional door system.
Hundreds of properties have benefitted from the fitting of the Whitehouse Flood Door across the UK; through EA and Defra funded Local Authority schemes, as part of pilot schemes and Framework agreements with Water Authorities.
