Whitehouse offer a number of solutions designed to prevent water entering your home via private drainage systems. During our property level mitigation surveys, our experts will advise you on the likelihood of this occurring and can suggest the most efficient solution to protect your home.
Non-return valves (NRV’s) are a distinctive solution which ensures your drains only expel water from your home. In times of flood, the NRV will create a seal to ensure that flood water is unable to travel up pipes and into your property. A range of non-return valves are available which can be discreetly fitted into your drainage system by our expert installation team.
Whitehouse also offer a range of non-return gullies which ensure that water can only flow out of your drainage system. Again, the non-return function creates a seal to prevent surcharge. These gully systems are available in a range of styles and sizes which are in-keeping with your current products and will be fitted by our expert installation team.
Backflow Valves are an alternative mechanical drainage method offered in place of the Non-return valve. Backflow valves work on the same principle, ensuring that water is able to effectively flow out of your property into sewer systems; but in times of flood they will create a seal to prevent surcharge. The fundamental difference between the products is that while Non-return valves remain in the ‘closed’ position when not in use; Backflow Valves remain in the open position which makes drain rodding much easier.
