Pumped Drainage
Pumped Drainage products are an effective and affordable solution for a range of flooding issues including cellar flooding and sewer surcharge flooding, allowing routine activities to carry on unaffected whilst in a flooding situation.
Cellars and basements are often affected by flooding due to their position below ground level. There are many solutions currently available on the market which can be supplied and installed by Whitehouse. Our most popular solution is a Sump and Pump, a solution installed into the cellar floor, removing any excess water and pumping it out of the property.
‘Puddle Suckers’ are an alternative solution to cellar flooding, operating using a similar method to a Sump and Pump by removing any excess water and pumping it out of the property. ‘Puddle Suckers’ are a hand held solution, plugged into mains electricity and operated like a hoover to remove the water. This product is often suggested if a homeowner has an uneven cellar floor as it can be used to clear puddles which a Sump and Pump could not drain away.
Where more than one property is on a main connection to the sewer, self-flooding could occur. In this instance we would look to fit a Pumped Non-Return Valve (Pumped NRV). Like mechanical Non-Return Valves, Pumped NRV’s will stop any surcharge entering properties by blocking off the upstream flow whilst also pumping any additional household waste water.
