Following a review of the flood defences in Ashbourne, Whitehouse reconstructed the floodwall within the banks of the Henmore Brook whilst protecting the sensitive natural environment. This strengthened flood defence wall safeguards the heart of the community.

In order to promote wildlife preservation and environmental care, North Nottinghamshire College gained Heritage Lottery funding for a rural learning centre. Whitehouse carried out a package of civil enabling works; creating an exciting and tranquil visitor space in-keeping with natural surroundings.

Following heavy, sustained rainfall; an 80m stretch of motorway embankment slipped, causing serious undermining issues with the hard shoulder of the M45. Whitehouse have undertaken a package of emergency works stabilising the embankment working within a woodland area, whilst keeping the busy stretch of motorway open.
