Following the collapse of a 2km stretch of trunk sewer in Leicester, Whitehouse were engaged on an emergency basis for the replacement of themain and repair of extensive damage to the surrounding countryside, working on a 24 hour basis to effectively manage the flow.
Severn Trent Water engaged with Whitehouse to create substantial emergency storage at a Sewage Treatment Works in Tamworth. Works were completed in two phases; facilitating the construction of a 13m deep, 15m diameter shaft and installation of associated M&E work, whilst keeping the treatment works operational.
As part of a scheme to alleviate traffic on the M1, a 4th lane widening programme was introduced. Whitehouse facilitated this via the installation of a drainage system on a southbound stretch of the M1 between Junction 26 and Junction 27.
