Over a number of years the safety performance of the company has been the highest priority within the business. Even with an already good record of accident statistics for many years, in January 2007 the Directors set a target of zero accidents for the workforce during 2007.
This has been achieved and as work ceased for the Christmas break every member of the workforce was rewarded with a small gift in recognition by the Directors.
Company SHEQ Manager Ray Smeathers said “Every single member of our workforce, and supply chain is to be congratulated on reaching this goal. Civil Engineering is a high risk operation and we have risen as a team to meet the challenge set and in doing so have taken with us our supply chain of suppliers and sub contractors. We now set out to maintain his very high standard again this year.” |
