Whitehouse Selected as Partner Contractor
to Derbyshire Dales District Council
Major refurbishment and repairs to Sewers on the Park Estate, Ashbourne and Hurst Farm Estate, Matlock will be carried out by local contractor Whitehouse Construction. Derbyshire Dales District Council decided to go down the contractor/client partnering route in order to procure the works on a best value basis. Early involvement in the project, to assist in the development of the design solutions and cost engineering was a pre-requisite of the client; contractors also had to demonstrate a successful working relationship with Severn Trent Water.
Whitehouse were able to demonstrate their relevant experience and expertise for this type of contract, we were also able to show past experience of working in partnership with clients in order to find the best and most cost effective design solutions.
Following an extensive written Pre-Qualification submission Whitehouse were short listed, phase two of the selection process was face to face interviews with the client, and the opportunity to present our initial assessment and design solutions for the project Whitehouse were successful with their bid, and subsequently chosen as the preferred partner contractor.
